We live in a complicated time, with each generation facing new challenges. With the expansion of things like social media and online dating, our social and professional lives are more complex than ever. It’s impossible not to compare ourselves to those around us when we’re getting minute-by-minute updates of how great everyone’s lives are. It can be hard to put down our phones and tune into ourselves.
In our 20s and 30s, not only are we are still sorting out our identities but we’re also facing a long string of choices and transitions. We ask ourselves questions like:
- Who am I?
- What are my values?
- What am I passionate about?
- How do I want to spend my time on this earth?
- Should I get married? Have children?
- How will I know that I’m making the right choices?
With all that you’re facing, you’re probably longing for a space that is entirely for you to focus on you. That’s what a good therapeutic relationship can provide. I enjoy connecting with young adults to help them tune into their own voice and navigate life’s many transitions.
